CoachMarque has welcomed its 51st member, Bluebird Coaches of Weymouth.
Gemma Hoare, part of the fourth generation of the family business, is pictured along with Senior Tour Driver David Read (right), receiving the award at the annual CoachMarque conference from CoachMarque Chairman Chris Owens and CPT’s Simon Smith.
Martyn Hoare, Managing Director, says: “We applied because we thought the company was up to the standard to meet all the criteria. CoachMarque is good for the coach industry, and better for us as a company.
“It’s proof that we can be trusted to provide quality, high-standard vehicles and drivers, and is good for schools and for generating other work.
“It gives passengers the confidence that they’re dealing with a coach company that’s well established and has met strict criteria to gain the accreditation, with health & safety and other processes across the board in place.”
Bluebird is a well-established family business, started in Portland by Cecil Hoare in 1924. IRun today by Cecil’s grandsons Martyn and Stephen Hoare, it has over 20 coaches and runs a successful tour programme as well as private hire and schools work.
