South coast operator Brighton and Hove Buses is asking people to nominate their community champions for a spot on the side of a fleet of new buses.
The campaign is called ‘Above and Beyond’ and is a chance for anyone to thank and recognise friends, family and colleagues.
“It’s been a tough year for everyone and we would like to recognise those people who go ‘above and beyond’ and embody the spirit of Brighton and Hove,” says Brighton and Hove Buses Managing Director Martin Harris. “We want to celebrate the amazing people who live and work in this city, people who go out of their way for others and their communities and have a hugely positive impact. Imagine how exciting it will be for them to see themselves honoured on the side of a bus.”
Local community groups have already submitted nominations, according to Martin. Now it is time for the general public to submit theirs.
If you’re looking to nominate someone you know, e-mail your entry to communitychampions@buses.co.uk and include your name and contact details, the name of the person you are nominating and how to contact them, and why they should be nominated in no more than 500 words. The competition closes on 30 November 2020.
Successful nominees will be asked to attend a photoshoot and have their photo placed on the side of one of Brighton and Hove’s new buses. Their unique story will be told both inside the bus and on the Brighton and Hove Buses website.
