Worthing-based Compass Travel has received four new Enviro200 single-deckers from Alexander Dennis (ADL) for use on its Surrey Hills Xplorer service.
The 10.8m-long vehicles are powered by Euro VI engines with stop-start technology and come with next-stop audio and visual announcements, Wi-Fi and USB charging for all 40 seats. They are part of an order of nine, with five 30-seaters to follow this autumn.
The Xplorer connects Guildford, Dorking, Reigate and Redhill and is operated in partnership with Surrey County Council.
Compass Travel General Manager, Michael Bishop, says: “The Alexander Dennis Enviro200’s versatility gives us the perfect platform to deliver consistent high-quality services for our passengers and partners like Surrey County Council. Its reliability and ease of maintenance have allowed us to standardise our single deck fleet, and these latest new buses now take our Enviro200 complement up to 70 vehicles.”
