FlixBus works with Berrys and Roselyn to reach Plymouth

FlixBus works with Berrys Coaches and Roselyn Coaches

FlixBus will expand its scheduled network into South West England from 28 April in collaboration with Berrys Coaches and Roselyn Coaches. They will operate a service between London and Plymouth, calling at Bridgwater, Taunton and Exeter.

Coaches will run daily, with frequency increasing over the summer to meet what FlixBus says is “expected high demand.” Berrys Coaches already works with the mobility company through the availability of seats on some of its Superfast connections via FlixBus channels. That will continue, but Berrys will also grow its fleet to become part of the green FlixBus network. The new service will also be supported by vehicles from Coachmarque member Roselyn Coaches.

FlixBus UK Managing Director Andreas Schörling says that partnerships with Berrys and Roselyn are “strategically important” as the business opens service to South West England.

“We have been thoroughly impressed by Berrys’ commitment to our vision and high quality service, and we are delighted to welcome the team and drivers on board. We know that Roselyn Coaches is also a brilliant operator, so we are excited to start working with it.”

Berrys Coaches Transport Manager James Berry notes that the decision to develop an existing partnership with FlixBus was “obvious.” He adds: “With our strong brands aligning, there is a clear opportunity for growth within the region. We are convinced that this will be a successful, long-term relationship for us and we are excited to strengthen our joint venture with FlixBus.”

Roselyn Coaches MD Jonathan Ede comments: “FlixBus is a global player and we are looking forward to benefiting from its technological expertise across routes, pricing and marketing, as well as the innovative ticketing system. We are extremely proud to be working with FlixBus on its new routes from the West Country.”

Mr Schörling has underlined FlixBus’s ambition to have the UK’s largest scheduled coach network. He adds that the business is seeking further operator partners as it plans further expansion.
