Gilbert White and the Oates Collections in Selborne will hold a group event on 25 June to showcase recent improvements.
The museum, set in naturalist Rev. Gilbert White’s lovely house and gardens, displays ground-breaking investigations of the natural world.
It has just completed an extensive and ambitious development programme, including a brand new café, shop, and visitor area along with the brewhouse and stable yard.
The site has also improved its coach parking facilities, making it easier for groups of all types to visit the historic house and gardens.
The event on 25 June will include a show-round of the new facilities, a tour of the house and gardens, and lunch in the new café. Attendees will also be invited to see local attractions nearby to Gilbert White and the Oates Collections.
Kimberley James, Marketing Manager of Gilbert White and the Oates Collections, says: “We’re so pleased to be able to offer groups these new facilities – it makes a visit to our attraction even better and will help visitors enjoy the tremendous story of Gilbert White and the incredible Oates Collections.
“And with regards to the many improvements on site, we would like to have the feedback from the tour planners as to what they think and of course how we can help their groups in future.”
