Group travel organisers and coach-friendly attractions enjoyed a very successful Group Buyer Forum at RHS Wisley in April.

The forum used the Hillside Centre at Wisley Garden as its venue

Organised by Steve Reed Tourism, the event partnered with Epsom Coaches, Holiday Inn London Kingston-South and Historic Royal Palaces to bring together top attractions, hotels, destinations and group venues, to meet face-to-face with GTOs and coach operators.

The many tourism businesses showcasing their wares included the National Memorial Arboretum; Daish’s Holidays; Guildford Tourism; Ena Mill; Brooklands Motor Museum; Northern France Tourism and Visit Dunkirk; the Switzerland Travel Centre; French Brother’s River Cruises; Warner Leisure Hotels; The Bodleian Libraries; Hidden Depths Canal Cruises; and Rural Concierge from Herefordshire.

Steve Reed, MD of Steve Reed Tourism, says: “RHS Wisley proved to be one of the very best venues we have ever used for our events. We knew that it was popular with groups but, with the help of unseasonably hot and sunny weather, it was simply first class.

“The team at Wisley were so helpful and showed how good they really are at handling groups of visitors. We were all made to feel so welcome.”

Elwyn Owen, Visitor Services Manager at RHS Wisley Garden, says: “The Group Buyer Form was a great opportunity for us to showcase how good Wisley is at handling and looking after groups. We really enjoyed showing the coach and tour operators around and hope that they will choose to come back with their groups to visit us.”

The next Group Buyer Forum will be at Samlesbury Hall near Preston, Lancashire on Monday 18 September.
