Coach and bus insurance specialist McCarron Coates has won a Silver Award for Specialist National Broker of the Year at the 2022 Insurance Times Awards.
It continues a record of such recognition that extends to 2019 for the Leeds-based business. The supplier was also a finalist in the Commercial Lines Broker of the Year and Best B2B Marketing Campaign of the Year categories.
McCarron Coates has pointed to some of its marketing campaigns as evidence of providing specialist advice to the sectors in which it is active.
Among them in 2022 was a controversial but high-impact study, You’re Just Not Selling it to Me. That work was based on consumer research. Building on the findings, which called into question operators’ connection with their markets, the coach industry was urged to align itself with customer demand to ensure the sector’s future prosperity.
McCarron Coates says that it has continued to enjoy wider success recently. Luigi Maggio (pictured, left) has been appointed as a third Director alongside Paul Coates and Ian McCarron (pictured, right) to facilitate growth into new areas, while the business’s claims team has been expanded and office space doubled.
Speaking about the latest awards success, Mr Coates says: “We are delighted to win the Insurance Times award, with these particular awards being the most prestigious in our sector.
“We shall build on this success in 2023, delivering even more insight to our clients and creating initiatives that help them stay compliant, while protecting their staff, the public, and clients’ balance sheets.”
