Mirka has introduced two new pneumatic belt sanders (PBS) and two new file belts to its product portfolio, designed for the bodyshop and manufacturing sectors.
The Mirka PBS 10NV and Mirka PBS 13NV are designed for removing paint in body shop work and collision repair, and for grinding welding spots and seams in vehicle manufacturing.
Mirka says the sanders’ design offers low vibration, comfortable grip and reduced stress on the user’s hand and wrist. Grinding speed is set with a top-mounted selector and belts can be changed quickly using the tool’s tension mechanism. The arm angle is adjusted with a key stored in the handle.
It has also introduced new ceramic and zirconia file belts to complement the sanders. The belts can be used on metals across multiple applications. The ceramic file belt comes available in P24-P120 grits, is heat resistant and provides a consistent scratch pattern, while the zirconia belt can be used from paint removal and stainless steel to high alloy steel, non-ferrous metals and cast iron.
“The new Mirka pneumatic belt sanders and file belts strengthens our position as the tools and abrasives solution expert in bodyshops,” says National Sales Manager ART Steve Smith. “It is an integral part of Mirka’s panel beating concept that provides technicians with a full range of products.”
