NMI’s child-friendly SitSafe for minicoaches?

NMI’s SitSafe product is set to come to minicoaches, says manufacturer

NMI Safety Systems displayed its SitSafe child-friendly seat at CBUK, something that it says it is looking to break into the minicoach and minibus sector with.

SitSafe is a standard coach seat, but when required the back-rest can tilt forward and a small squab lowered from the rear to convert it into a PCV equivalent of a child seat.

This, says Operations Director Richard Levene, allows parents travelling with young children to keep them within the view at all times, and a lap belt combined with two vertical shoulder straps ensure that the child stays where they should be.

“Releasing just one handle turns a coach seat into something that is suitable for very young children,” says Mr Levene. “SitSafe is compatible with NMI legs, and all tracking regardless of the manufacturer.

“We are currently in discussion with minicoach and minibus converters to supply it to the small PCV market.”
