Three brand new products from Phoenix Seating

Phoenix’s new products included a heated seat among some others

Phoenix Seating launched three new products at Coach & Bus UK.

All Buckled Up is a simple concept that shows the driver via a phone or tablet whether passengers have their seatbelts fastened.

It has a clear user interface and it utilises a small unit in each seat to generate a signal, meaning that no wiring within the vehicle is required.

Phoenix also displayed a heated seat. Available across the Blenheim, Blenheim High Back, Hydra and Sirius ranges, it uses heat pads in the squab and lower back cushions.

The heating option has come about following customer requests, and it is compatible with a variety of base vehicles. Two levels of heat can be generated and an in-built thermostat is fitted, preventing injury to passengers.

Finally, a seat with heavy-duty water barrier material in the sides and beneath the fabric was displayed. This, says Phoenix, is particularly suitable for minibuses used to carry children and it is entirely water resistant and can be cleaned very easily.

The all-age three-point seatbelt buckle – a simple retrofit to existing Phoenix seats – was also on show.
