Oxford Bus Company celebrated inclusion and community engagement by supporting Thame Pride as a Gold sponsor, with its rainbow-branded bus featuring at the event.
The operator’s electric rainbow bus, which has appeared at other Pride events across Oxfordshire, was on display throughout the day and proved a popular attraction, with visitors stopping to take photographs.
Oxford Bus Company also had a promotional stand on Thame High Street, where staff distributed branded merchandise and timetable information and answered questions about its services.
The operator also supported the event by providing complimentary advertising for Thame Pride across its bus network and social media channels.
Luke Marion, Managing Director of Oxford Bus Company, says: “We were pleased to support Thame Pride, as a Gold sponsor, showcasing our support for inclusion in our communities.
“Showing our support for Thame Pride highlighted our vision as a business. Diversity, equality and inclusivity are core values we hold across the company throughout the year.
“Engaging with the community is a key pillar of our business too, and we were on hand to answer various questions about our services and timetables.
“The electric rainbow-emblazoned bus has become a beloved part of Pride events in Oxfordshire, and it was fantastic to see it back in Thame.”
Thame Pride was first held last year in support of the LGBTQIA+ community. This year’s event featured performances across four stages, alongside an open mic event, Pride history trail, craft workshops, an art exhibition and a range of stalls.
The appearance followed Oxford Bus Company’s support for Oxford Pride in June, when the rainbow-branded bus made its third consecutive appearance at the event. The operator says it has been a long-term supporter of Oxford Pride.
