Stagecoach East Midlands has revealed two specially decorated buses to celebrate the historic Coronation of King Charles III.
The buses, adorned with the official royal emblem and patriotic livery, will be in operation across Hull and Lincoln during the coronation weekend of 6-8 May, and will be seen throughout the region in the coming months.
The livery showcases Great British bunting style vinyls, blue, white and red roundels, and the strapline, “we’re proud to join the community in commemorating the Coronation of Kind Charles III” on the rear and both sides of the bus.
To further honour the national event, many Stagecoach East Midlands drivers will don red, white and blue attire over the bank holiday weekend.
Dave Skepper, Managing Director at Stagecoach East Midlands, shares his enthusiasm for the occasion, stating: “The King’s coronation will be a very special and significant event in history and we’re delighted to mark the celebration with these two specially decorated coronation buses.
“We hope they help to spread a bit of extra joy and excitement in our local communities, as we celebrate this momentous event over the Coronation weekend.”
Stagecoach East Midlands encourages those who spot the coronation buses to capture the moment with a photo and tag @StagecoachEMid on Twitter.
