Stagecoach South East has unveiled a specially liveried bus that celebrates the Royal British Legion. It comes as the operator confirmed that it will extend its free travel offer on Remembrance Day and Remembrance Sunday from serving forces personnel and veterans to also include cadets.
The Alexander Dennis Enviro400 that marks the Royal British Legion presently operates from Stagecoach’s Folkestone depot, with the operator planning to use the bus from other locations over the coming year.
Says Stagecoach South East Managing Director Joel Mitchell (pictured, right): “This is a cause that is incredibly close to our communities and colleagues’ hearts and we are thrilled to have worked closely with the Royal British Legion on this as it launches the Poppy Appeal.”
Adds Royal British Legion Community Fundraiser in East Kent Charlotte Robinson (pictured, left): “It is great to have a partnership like this, so that the community in Kent and East Sussex can so clearly see the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal has launched once again, and remind them that we are always here for them.”
