Stagecoach South West is reintroducing a late-night bus service in Torbay from Good Friday (19 April).

The N12 will operate every 30 minutes between Newton Abbot, Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, from the late evening of Friday and Saturday nights until around 0430hrs the following day.

The number 12 route benefited from a £4.5m investment at the end of 2017 when Stagecoach invested in 22 brand-new double-decker buses for it. The buses have USB charging ports, free wi-fi and accept contactless payments.

The N12 service will continue throughout the year until the start of the Christmas period.

Paul Clark, Operations Director at Stagecoach South West, says: “We hope this service will help bring more people out to enjoy the bars and restaurants that Torbay has to offer.

“We also hope that using our modern buses on the route will help change people’s perception of bus travel as an alternative to other modes.”
