Stagecoach has put a new management structure in place, after the sudden departure of UK Bus MD Robert Montgomery (routeONE, News, 22 March).
Mr Montgomery’s role is split, with Mark Threapleton taking on the new post of UK Bus England and Wales MD, alongside Robert Andrew in the new post of MD UK Bus Scotland; both report directly to Stagecoach CEO Martin Griffiths.
Former National Express UK Bus CEO Paul Bunting (pictured) has been appointed to the new position of Commercial & New Business Director, UK Bus, reporting to Mr Threapleton, from 1 April.
Mr Bunting was last at Stagecoach 15 years ago, as UK Bus Business Development Director. Most recently he has been working in the health sector.
Gary Nolan, currently Regional Director, Midlands and Wales, is leaving Stagecoach this month. He is replaced by Mike Watson, previously Regional Director South, as UK Bus Regional Director, England & Wales.
Stagecoach Yorkshire MD Paul Lynch has been appointed UK Bus Regional Director, London, replacing Mr Threapleton.
In other roles, Colin Brown continues as UK Bus Finance Director 
and Sam Greer continues as UK Bus Engineering Director.
