Every year IRTE Skills Challenge sponsor Teng Tools rewards the best apprentices and technicians in the competition with a set of brand-new tools.

A major feature of the competition’s award ceremony is the handing out of the prizes to its grateful winners, and this year will be no exception. Now, after celebrating its 10th anniversary last year, the competition returns with a new set of contestants ready to test their ability against other exceptional coach and bus technicians.

Phil Farrell, Marketing Services at Teng Tools, says: “When you choose Teng Tools, you immediately stand out from the crowd as an individual who is ready to succeed, so to be in a great competition with the best engineers and technicians in their field aligns perfectly with our core brand’s principles. The exposure the brand gets from being involved in the IRTE Skills Challenge every year sends this message out to the wider public that Teng Tools is working with winners.”

Mr Farrell believes that the competition serves to raise the standards by helping contestants find faults and diagnose solutions in an environment that is unfamiliar to them.

“In an ever-changing industry it’s great that the IRTE Skills Challenge gets together the best technicians from all over the UK who can learn and inspire each other,” Mr Farrell adds. “For Teng Tools to be involved in this competition is fantastic because our products are developed to create a more efficient workflow tailored to the needs of technicians of today and tomorrow.

“We can gain valuable industry insights from people working with the tools daily.”
