Businesses combine to welcome tour planners to the English Riviera. By Jessica Barton
The English Riviera BID held its English Riviera Holiday Show on 8 March, in partnership with UK group travel specialists Steve Reed Tourism.
Held at the Riviera International Centre in Torquay, the show gave attractions, destinations and accommodation providers in the Torbay area the opportunity to showcase to coach and tour operators and group travel organisers what they have to offer groups.
The English Riviera Holiday Show was part of a three-day event, planned to help highlight the tourism product of the English Riviera partners – hotels, attractions, transport and venues all combined to give the tour planners a highly memorable experience.
Carolyn Custerson, CEO of the English Riviera BID Company, says: “We are so pleased to have the support of the BID partners to ensure that the buyers were well received here.
“Our initial feedback from the guests is very positive indeed – there have already been group bookings as a result of the event and many more are in the pipeline. Our businesses looked after the delegates ever so well – whether it was first class accommodation, delicious food, enjoyable entertainment or superb sight-seeing.”
