Don’t miss the chance to see the fastest selling musical theatre tour of all time in London’s West End – The Band, featuring the music of Take That
The Take That musical The Band is headed for London’s West End, with a six-week run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket confirmed for the Christmas period.
The musical, which has a book by Tim Firth, is currently touring the UK and features some of the band’s classic hits, such as ‘Never Forget’, ‘Back for Good’, ‘A Million Love Songs’, ‘Greatest Day’, ‘The Flood’, ‘Relight My Fire’, ‘Shine’, and ‘Rule the World’.
It will run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 1 December to 12 January 2019, with tickets now on sale.
The Band tells the story of five 16-year-old girls who are obsessed with a boyband, who reunite 25 years later to try to fulfil their dream of meeting the group at a concert in Prague after winning a competition. ‘The band’ are played by Five to Five, winners of the BBC series Let it Shine, in which Gary Barlow was a head judge.
Tim Firth and Gary Barlow reunite in the West End following their 2017 production of The Girls – a musical adaptation of the story of the Calendar Girls.
After the six-week West End run, the musical will continue its tour, which is set to end in Southampton on 16 March 2019.
