National Group Travel Organiser Day returns for its second year in March, coinciding with the second day of British Tourism & Travel Show (BTTS).
To celebrate GTO Day 2018, the organisers of BTTS have opened a nationwide campaign to recognise the best GTO, with the GTO Special Recognition Award to be presented at the show on 22 March.
David Maguire, Show Director, says: “These truly special individuals often spend hours of their own personal time arranging trips for others, with little recognition for the hard work, commitment and passion that they put into building the perfect itinerary or day out.
“At the British Tourism & Travel Show we want to recognise these very people and are asking you, the people who work with them on a daily basis, to vote for the number-one GTO in the country.”
If you are a coach tour operator who works with a GTO who continually astounds you with their commitment to the role, or an attraction that has built a strong relationship with a GTO over the years and wants to acknowledge all their hard work, you can nominate by filling in the short form at tourismshow.co.uk/gto
BTTS is the premier show for coach tour operators and group travel organisers, taking place on 21-22 March at the NEC, Birmingham. It showcases 250 exhibitors from around the UK and Ireland, with a full two-day seminar programme – and new for this year, visitors can find attractions on the continent in the European Zone.
