Woburn Abbey and Gardens is closing throughout 2020 for its biggest refurbishment since it first opened to the public in 1955.
The Duke and Duchess of Bedford have announced it will close on 1 September 2019, reopening for Easter 2021.
Major investment will see the Abbey updated as a visitor attraction, with “first-class” facilities and improved disabled access, plus conservation of the art collections.
