Women in Bus and Coach has announced it will hold its inaugural awards as part of its annual summit in Manchester on 8 October.
The awards will recognise the contribution of women within the coach, bus and community transport sectors in four separate categories: Best Woman in Bus sponsored by Backhouse Jones Solicitors, Best Woman in Coach sponsored by IntSol Recruitment, Best Woman in Community Transport sponsored by Dawsongroup bus and coach and The Peter, Lord Hendy of Richmond Hill Best Ally Award sponsored by the Go-Ahead Group.
From among these will be chosen the recipient of the Woman of the Year title sponsored by MCV Bus and Coach.

The Women in Bus and Coach summit, which will take place 11 months from the launch of the initiative, will be sponsored by Transport UK London Bus, C9 Recruitment and Metroline.
