Manchester Airport has added two custom-built 10.8m Enviro200s to its 72-strong bus fleet, supplied by Alexander Dennis (01909 551166).

They have extensive luggage racking and can carry up to 60 passengers each. CCTV cameras have been installed to satisfy security requirements.

Leather SmartSeats have been specified and power is from the four-cylinder Cummins ISBe engine rated at 180bhp. It is coupled to Allison’s S2100 gearbox.

Says Manchester Airport Head of Motor Transport Kevin Hainey: “As we operate non-stop services 24 hours a day, it is important that our buses are fuel efficient, highly manoeuvrable and easily maintained.

“The Enviro200 meets those criteria. Hence it continues to play a significant role in our transport operations in and around the airport.”
