The Honk for Hope movement came to Edinburgh on Thursday 6 August. A procession of coaches through Scotland’s capital aimed to highlight the industry’s financial plight and underline to the Scottish Government the need for support.
Many Scottish coach operators entered vehicles into the procession and they were supported by a large number of fellow operators from outside Scotland. The Honk for Hope gathering in Edinburgh followed earlier events at Lightwater Valley in North Yorkshire, Blackpool, West Wales and London.
A full report on the Edinburgh protest will follow on the routeone website very shortly. A further Honk for Hope gathering is planned in Cardiff soon. Further details will be announced on the movement’s Facebook page.
