EVM UK has named Andy Mageer as Customer and Dealer Support Manager. Mr Mageer brings significant technical expertise into the role, having previously worked for operators Ellisons Travel and Selwyns Travel, dealership Irizar UK and vehicle OEM Switch Mobility.
The appointment represents further strengthening of EVM UK’s aftersales provision. A key part of the newly created role will be to support and develop the AOS-branded range of midicoaches from Anadolu Isuzu that EVM UK recently introduced, a line-up that is expected to grow to include zero-emission products in the future.
Mr Mageer enjoyed six years with Irizar UK as Aftercare Manager. His industry knowledge “makes him exceptionally well placed for dealing with the introduction of integral and electric vehicles,” EVM UK says. He will also liaise directly with customers.
Appointment of Mr Mageer follows the earlier recruitment by EVM UK of James Grant as Parts Manager and Michael Duffell as Production and Operations Manager. The business has also moved its operations into larger premises in Horsham.
Speaking about the arrival of Mr Mageer, EVM Managing Director Danny McGee says: “Andy’s appointment is part of our growth strategy, helping EVM to scale up as our range and sales grow.
“We are continually looking at ways of improving aftersales of our products. The new roles further increase our dealer support and are part of our ongoing programme of investment to support our customers.”
Adds Mr Mageer: “I am very excited to join EVM, and being part of the team is a key reason for me. EVM really is a people business and that is something it recognises as being important as it continues to grow.”
Andy Mageer will be present on the EVM stand at Euro Bus Expo at the NEC Birmingham between 1-3 November, alongside examples of the AOS-branded range and EVM’s other mini- and mid-sized products.
