Arriva UK Bus MD Kevin O’Connor is leaving his post at the end of September for a new, undisclosed role, outside the coach and bus industry.
Arriva Finance and Commercial Director Iain Jago will become Acting MD while Arriva looks for a long-term successor – a process which has already started, says Arriva. alt=”” class=”figimg” src=”https://www.route-one.net/wp-content/uploads/Kevin_OConnor_Managing_Director_UK_Bus.jpg” style=”float:right” />
Mr O’Connor became UK Bus MD in 2015, joining from outsourcing and cash-handling firm G4S.
Says Arriva Group CEO Manfred Rudhart: “Under his leadership the UK Bus team has driven a customer-focused strategy which has given us a much stronger market position while innovating and positioning Arriva for the future.
“The building blocks are firmly in place for continued success and further transformation of our core bus business, as well as through providing new solutions for the passengers of tomorrow, including our pioneering demand responsive service, ArrivaClick.
“Kevin has been a valued member of the Arriva group leadership team and we thank him for his significant contribution and wish him every success in his new role.”
