Automotive clean-tech firm Avid Technology Group in North East England has appointed Andrew Hodgson as its new non-executive chairman with immediate effect.
Andrew has held various chief executive and senior board positions in high-end engineering businesses, including Soil Machine Dynamics (SMD), Spirit Aerosystems, Airbus and BAE Systems. He is also the Chairman of the North East Local Enterprise Partnership and received an OBE for his services to manufacturing and the regional economy in 2015.

Avid Technology is a pioneer in the field of vehicle electrification and hybridisation. From its HQ in Cramlington, Northumberland the company designs, manufactures and exports electric motors and powertrain components for next generation hybrid and electric vehicles.
