A First driver of a route 16 bus in Leeds has been praised after he stopped to check that a visibly upset schoolgirl standing on her own at a bus stop was okay.
He left the bus to assist her by phoning and paying for a taxi, to ensure she would get to school on time. She was at her first day at secondary school and she had been standing on the wrong side of the road.
