Van Hool has confirmed the appointment of David Porter as Regional Sales Representative. He will cover a swathe of England including London, the South East and South West, the East Midlands and West Midlands and the East of the country, along with Northern Ireland.
Mr Porter joins from Volvo Bus UK and Ireland. He brings what the Belgian manufacturer says is “a wealth of experience gained in customer relations in the coach and bus industry, both in sales and aftersales.”
He will work alongside existing Regional Sales Representative and long-time Van Hool specialist Robert White to form a commercial team for the UK. Mr White’s areas of responsibility are Scotland, Wales, Yorkshire and the North East and North West of England.
Mr Porter and Mr White “will be assisted by a dedicated team of Van Hool aftersales staff, both in the UK and from the parent company in Belgium,” the manufacturer notes. In addition, Van Hool UK handles the distribution of all relevant spares from its base in Wellingborough. It says that a stock of parts is “always available” and can be “delivered quickly throughout Britain.”
Van Hool says its product line-up in the UK “can offer a suitable solution for every coach company.” It has underlined that the new T range of Acron, Alicron and Astron models will arrive here in Q3 2023 to sit alongside the established EX and TDX models.
