Go North East (GNE) has appointed Erik De Greef as its new Finance Director.

Erik brings a wealth of experience to the role. His previous employment includes Commercial Finance Director at Sage, as well as Head of Group Financial Planning and Analysis at Arriva. He started his career as a trainee Auditor at KPMG.

In his new role, Erik will be head of GNE’s finance team, lead the company’s finance function and contribute to its business strategy.

Erik says: “It’s an honour to be part of the team.

“I’m looking forward to getting started and playing my part.”

Martijn Gilbert, Managing Director, adds: “We’re delighted to have Erik join our team. He is a strong appointment, bringing valuable financial leadership experience and I’m looking forward to working with him.

“I’d like to thank the whole of our finance team for its exceptional efforts over the last few months in the interim prior to Erik’s arrival.”

Erik is originally from the Netherlands but has lived in the North East of the UK for 17 years.
