Kura has appointed Luke Garcia as Head of Corporate Sales. He joins from taxi and courier business Addison Lee and will help to manage Kura’s clients in the corporate sector, with a responsibility for securing new business and more long-term contracts for corporate shuttle services among organisations targeting blue-collar workers.
During his time with Addison Lee, Mr Garcia spent five years working with commercial clients in the UK, Europe, Asia and the United States. His work history is in sales across the travel, logistics and supply chain industries and with organisations from SMEs to large corporates.
Kura says that Mr Garcia “will help businesses looking to capitalise on the benefits of coach and minibus transport.” The supplier notes that companies increasingly see shared travel as a way to speed recruitment by growing the candidate catchment area and capturing more of those who do not drive.
Speaking about his move to Kura, Luke Garcia says: “The Head of Sales role was a highly appealing opportunity and the perfect next challenge. Kura is a fresh yet experienced business with a strong concept and ethos. I look forward to working with the talented team to deliver against the goals that have been set for us.”
Mr Garcia adds that corporate sustainability targets and a need for employers to offer a competitive differentiator will deliver opportunities in the corporate shuttle area.
Kura CEO Godfrey Ryan underlines that sentiment, noting that Mr Garcia’s arrival comes at “an exciting time” for the corporate shuttle market “as organisations ramp up the support and duty of care that they provide to employees in a bid to make roles more attractive.”
Adds Mr Ryan: “The experience and direction that Luke brings to the team is invaluable, and we are delighted to have him onboard for the next stage of our growth journey.”
