Long-time coach operator Ralph Bullock (Jnr) has died, aged 90.
Apart from national service, and a year in Australia after the end of the Second World War, he spent his entire working life with Cheadle, Manchester-based Bullocks Coaches, founded by his father in 1928.
A “true gentleman”, Ralph spent years developing the coaching operation, which became well known for its Foden vehicles, with his brother Geoff. He retired from the business in 2005, but was still a familiar sight in the firm's depots.
The funeral will be held at St Mary's Church, High Street, Cheadle at 1400hrs on Friday 26 July, with refreshments afterwards at the Horse and Farrier pub in Gatley.
