Pelican Engineering Group, which includes the Pelican Bus and Coach dealership for Yutong products, has promoted Katrina Hogan to Chief Operating Officer.
She takes up that role on 1 September and steps up from the position of Yutong Aftersales Manager. Ms Hogan joined Pelican around 10 years ago in its finance department before moving to aftersales.
In the latter field, she has been credited with playing a key part in building the business’s aftersales operation for Yutong products. As the Chinese brand has expanded its presence in the UK coach and bus market, Pelican has invested heavily in service capability and parts and aftersales support under Ms Hogan’s leadership of that department, it notes.
In her new role she will take responsibility for all Pelican Engineering Group commercial operations, which include Pelican Bus and Coach, Pelican EV Automotive Training, Pelican AEAUTO, and HGV dealerships.
Managing Director Richard Crump will now concentrate on Pelican’s strategic direction and customer focus, while Head of Yutong UK Ian Downie will retain overall responsibility for vehicle sales.
Speaking about her elevation, Ms Hogan says: “I am grateful for the opportunity to take on this new role and am excited to help lead the company into its next phase of growth. I look forward to working closely with the management team to drive operational excellence.”
Adds Mr Crump: “Katrina has been instrumental in shaping our aftersales operation. Promoting her to Chief Operating Officer is a natural step as we continue to expand, and it reflects both Katrina’s capability and our commitment to ensuring that we deliver the best possible support to operators.”
