A number of Milton Keynes schools and charities have benefited from Scania (Great Britain) Limited’s recent donation of IT equipment.
Laptops, personal computers and a range of smartphones were among the IT hardware items presented to the Willen Hospice, Portfields Primary School, Great Holm Primary School and The Football Education Academy.
The items were surplus to the company’s future requirements with staff based at its current head office in Milton Keynes moving into its new UK Customer Support Centre in Tongwell.
“As part of our move into our brand-new office building, we’ve replaced some of our IT hardware, meaning that we had a number of items which were no longer required,” explains Martin Hay, Managing Director of Scania (Great Britain) Limited.
“We wanted to donate them to good causes and given them an additional life, where they would be well utilised and make a real difference.”
