Stagecoach Manchester has appointed Tony Cockcroft as its new Engineering Director.
Tony is set to lead the firm’s 280-strong engineering team, who keep a fleet of over 700 buses moving across Greater Manchester.
Tony joined Stagecoach in 2010 as Fleet Engineer at the Stockport Depot, before being promoted to Engineering Director at Merseyside and South Lancashire in 2012.
Tony says: “My primary role is to make sure there is a safe working and travel environment for all our staff and customers. I have an excellent team of engineers around me and we will be working together to build on the exceptionally high standards of engineering set in Greater Manchester by my predecessor and to continue to deliver reliable bus services to the people of Greater Manchester.”
Elisabeth Tasker, Managing Director of Stagecoach Manchester, says: “Tony brings with him a breadth of skills, knowledge and experience of the transport industry. He will complement a strong senior management team and will support us to continue to put our customers at the heart of everything we do.”
