Stagecoach South has announced several engineering and operational changes within its management team.
On the operator’s engineering side, Paul Denne (pictured), who is Engineering Manager for Winchester and Andover, will retire at the end of February. He celebrated 50 years’ service with Stagecoach South and its predecessors in 2020.
Paul’s successor in the Engineering Manager role is Simon Drewery. Simon has previously held assistant and deputy positions in the engineering management discipline with Stagecoach South and Stagecoach London. He completed engineering apprenticeships with BAE Systems and Southern Vectis in the early 2000s and he has experience of both the PSV and HGV sectors.
A second Engineering Manager appointment is of Alec Bradley. He takes up the role at Worthing. Alec joined Stagecoach in 2005 and completed an apprenticeship at Chichester depot, becoming a shift fitter when he qualified. Since then he has held Assistant Engineering Manager roles at Chichester and, more recently, at Winchester.
Andrew Cleeve is to take on the Assistant Engineering Manager role at Winchester. He currently holds the same position at Guildford depot.
On the Stagecoach South operational management side, Katie Wagstaff has been appointed Operations Manager at Basingstoke. Katie began her career as a graduate trainee with the business in 2014 and has since then she has held various roles with Stagecoach’s London business. Most recently she was Operations Manager at Plumstead depot.
A further Operations Manager role has been filled by former driver Mark Jackson. He has taken up the position at Andover. Mark began his career at Andover behind the wheel in 2001 and progressed to become Leading Driver and then Controller. Since 2015 Mark has been Assistant Operations Manager at Basingstoke and most recently he served as Acting Operations Manager there.
The final change will see Nigel Lukowski become Assistant Operations Manager at Basingstoke. He brings a wealth of operational experience to the role.
