Trade body RHA has appointed Andy Warrender to steer its RHA Coaches arm. It is the first coach-specific appointment announced by RHA since it signalled its expansion into the sector in December 2020.
Andy’s role will involve him ensuring that RHA Coaches members are kept abreast of operational changes and that they are equipped to deal with those developments as and when they happen, says RHA.
He will also “maintain a finger on the pulse of the industry, allowing members to contribute and ensuring that we are the ‘go to’ place for all stakeholders in the coach industry,” the Association adds.
Says RHA Managing Director for commercial operations Richard Smith: “Andy has been involved in passenger transport, predominantly the coach industry, for more than 30 years.
“His career has spanned roles on the road, in operations, in coach and bus sales, in vehicle manufacturing and in marketing, and he has represented the industry in dealing with operational and policy matters both domestically and internationally.
“Our team of specialists cover every aspect of the UK commercial vehicle sector. We are pleased to welcome Andy Warrender to the RHA team as our coach expert.”
Richard adds that “with 90% of the UK coach fleet parked, we know that the sector needs urgent support, operational guidance and customised solutions to support business recovery.”
