Trentbarton has recognised 17 employees for a combined 565 years of service.

The Derbyshire-based operator hosted a long service celebration at Morley Hayes, where employees reaching milestone anniversaries were joined by family members in recognition of the role they have played in supporting careers across the company.

The longest serving employee honoured was Harold Rose (pictured, above left), who reached 50 years with the operator, most recently serving as Area Engineering Manager in Nottingham.

Four employees marked 45 years of service, including drivers and engineering staff across Derby, Sutton and Langley Mill depots.

A further two drivers reached 35 years’ service, while nine colleagues were recognised for 25 years across operational, engineering and support roles.

Tom Morgan, managing director of Trentbarton, comments: “Congratulations and our thanks to all our long servers. In their distinguished careers they have contributed so much and inspired their colleagues. They really do embody our ethos as the really good bus company. We are fortunate to have them on the team and it was lovely to meet so many of their family members who have also been instrumental in enabling our long servers to flourish in their long careers.”

Engineering Director Matt Evans adds: “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Harold for his dedication and invaluable contributions over the years. Throughout his remarkable career, he has worked at every depot, generously sharing his knowledge and expertise. Many of the team members he recruited and trained have gone on to become the leaders of the future, with some now running depots of their own. His impact is truly lasting, and his legacy will continue to guide us for years to come.”
