Yellow Coaches, part of Bournemouth operator Yellow Buses, has reorganised its management structure with two appointments.

Jason Cousins (pictured, left) takes over as Coaching Manager. He moves over from Yellow Buses, where he held an operational role for several years. At the same time, Jay Thornton (pictured, right) has taken up the position of Assistant Coaching Manager. Mr Thornton was previously Sales Executive, where he was responsible for expanding the coach business.

Speaking about the appointments, Yellow Buses Managing Director David Squire says: “We are delighted to have bolstered this important part of our overall business, bringing both operational and commercial experience together for the first time.”

Working together, Mr Cousins and Mr Thornton’s first task was to plan a rail replacement contract for Go-Ahead Group, which saw 10 vehicles used on a nine-day blockade between Brighton and Three Bridges over the February half-term.

In addition to Yellow Coaches’ fleet of 16 full-size vehicles and minicoaches, they will also be responsible for Yellow Buses’ work with Golden Tours and Megabus, with both commencing summer timetables from April.
