A speech transfer system has been launched that improves communication between ticket office staff and passengers.
Produced by Contacta, it has already been installed in a number of bus stations in London.
It makes transactions between customers and staff in noisy environments much clearer without compromising staff safety or the windows’ aesthetics.
The microphone is positioned close to head height and embedded into the glass on a slimline bar.
It thus captures more direct speech and less background noise while being vandal-resistant. An induction loop is also included.
