The Whisperer asked in the 4 July issue whether anyone names their vehicles.
Island Coachways is undergoing a fleet replacement and all our new coaches have been named.
So far, we have named four new additions to our fleet: Joan Mary after my late mother; Lily in honour of Lily James, the lead actor of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society film; Kit, named after one of the characters from The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society novel – and in no way after KITT, the car from Knight Rider; and Dora (as she is allocated to our excursion, The Guernsey Explorer).
The naming is so popular that our staff have named our minibuses (Bonnie, Mia and Lola) and one of our older vehicles (Ohlin-Naomi).
