Regarding the comments about seatbelts [routeone/letters/14 June]. We inform our passengers to wear their seatbelts on all trips, and that the CCTV can be used in the court of law by the police if needed.
We make sure all belts are working, as at our test centre they will fail if frayed or not working in any way. Buses are limited to a lower speed because there are no belts; trains do not normally roll over or ram each other up the rear end, so they are not needed.
The second letter in the same issue was about there being nowhere to park in London. I agree that it is not easy, but London is a wonderful place and we should try to improve parking.
Half our fleet of 10 are Euro 6 already and the rest will be over the next couple of years.
Remember the glass is half full, not half empty. The thing needed to help us is to scrap the Driver CPC. It’s stopping young drivers joining the industry, and the part-time drivers can't be bothered, hence the shortage.
By all means have a day course on tachos, but that's about it.
