AC’s Taxis and Minibuses of Tranent, which also includes a coach undertaking, has moved to a fully digital fleet management system from AssetGo to enhance compliance control and streamline operations.

That has seen consolidation of multiple legacy systems into one integrated platform. The business has gained a real-time overview of its entire fleet as a result along with improved operational oversight and simplified communications between drivers, management, and workshop staff.

Compliance, maintenance and reporting functions are centralised within the customisable digital platform. It captures maintenance scheduling, PMI tracking, fuel reporting, and accident logging.

The system also ensure that PMI schedules remain aligned with DVSA standards. The AssetGo interface allows users to capture data efficiently, supporting insurance claims, internal reporting and KPI analysis, the supplier observes.

AC’s Taxis and Minibuses business partner and Transport Manager Robert Campbell says that several platforms were trialled before the choice was made to use AssetGo, “but none offered the same level of integration and usability.”

The product “became the workshop favourite almost immediately,” Mr Campbell continues. “We now have a complete overview of our entire fleet on one platform. Compliance has improved significantly, and communication between drivers, management and our workshop has never been better.”

He adds that integration of the platform was relatively quick and straightforward and that the AssetGo team provided support, advice and training to smooth the process.

The supplier says it can work with transport operators of all sizes to manage vehicle and driver oversight via tasks from digital walkaround checks and maintenance scheduling to incident reporting and document management.

A spokesperson continues that AssetGo is proud to support AC’s Taxis and Minibuses “in raising the bar for fleet compliance and operational transparency.” They add: “Our mission is to help transport operators to simplify complex processes while staying ahead of regulatory requirements.”
