Eastgate Coach Trimmers has specialised in coach interior refurbishment since 1981, from small repairs to complete interiors.
Its trimmers are fully skilled, having served five-year apprenticeships at nearby Plaxton Coach Builders.
Some vehicles can be retrimmed in a day, but it prefers to have them a little longer to make sure all foams and frames are repaired if required.
As well as transforming tired coach interiors, Eastgate have retrimmed bus seating for large groups, being able to collect five or more sets of seats at a time which has proven successful as transport costs are dramatically reduced.
Many vintage and classic coaches have been retrimmed and many sets of seats are at the Pickering workshop at the moment to be completed in period moquette. Many awards have been won at shows throughout the country.
Bespoke seat covers have been sewn up and seats trimmed for coaches on football club contracts, recently for Sheffield United and other league clubs.
