Continental has launched the Conti Urban HA3 315/60 R22.5 tyre, which is optimised for use with electric buses in city traffic and can carry up to 8,000kg per axle.
It is tailored to support the additional weight of batteries. That has been achieved via a robust casing with a high thickness and wire density.
The tyre also has a sturdy and durable tread with a significant proportion of natural rubber to deliver strong wear resistance and a long life.
The tyre is retreadable and it has reinforced sidewalls.
