EGR coolers join Hella’s aftermarket offering

Hella now offers EGR cooler units among of its aftermarket product range

Operators with vehicles that utilise exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) to achieve emission limits can benefit from Hella’s decision to include EGR coolers in its extensive aftermarket range.

Few Euro 6 engines used in coaches and buses lack EGR. The cooling of a proportion of exhaust gas prior to its return to the combustion chamber is achieved by a unit that acts as a heat exchanger with the engine coolant.

Through that cooling, the combustion temperature in the engine drops, reducing its NOx production.
