Telematics and transport technology provider Microlise has launched a new multi-way camera product that integrates with its telematics offering.
Combined, they enable operators to reduce risks and insurance costs, encourage good driving, improve safety and protect drivers from fraudulent claims.
The configuration of each camera is flexible. There are several options to best suit buyers’ needs. All cameras are capable of recording up to four high-definition video streams simultaneously, and software is updated live ‘over the air’.
Footage is held on a secure DVR aboard the vehicle, which is linked to a Microlise telematics unit. Video clips are transferred over the mobile network when requested and just one SIM is needed, meaning a single airtime contract for tracking, telematics and the camera solution.
Full integration with Microlise Fleet Performance makes it possible to review video from any section of a route via the online user interface. Clips can rapidly be downloaded in low resolution first to save time, allowing the identification of what is needed in high definition.
The camera solution comes with a Microlise warranty and it is part of the its wider portfolio.
