The team at HJS in the UK has been working closely with UK bus operators and local authorities to assist them in compiling bids to compete for a share of the recently announced £10m Clean Bus Technology Fund.
The modular HJS SCRT system can remove almost all NOx emissions generated by diesel engines.
Supplied in combination with a diesel particulate filter, the SCRT system is widely recognised politically and within the industry as one of the quickest and most cost-effective ways to achieve TfL/ Clean Vehicle Retrofit Accreditation Scheme (CVRAS) Euro 6 standards from Euro 3, 4 and 5 buses.
The most common bus applications found in the UK are already available including the ADL Enviro200/Enviro400(H) and the Volvo B9TL/B5LH, all of which have been certified for regulation compliance at Millbrook Proving Ground.
With the CVRAS application underway and final accreditation due imminently, HJS are set to play a key role in the improvement of air quality in towns and cities throughout the UK.
