Trapeze Group has rebranded its European businesses to create four new public transport technology identities. It is a move that the supplier says reflects each brand’s clear focus on developing specialist technology solutions that meet the specific needs of its customers. They are:
-
- Ebblo, which is a global provider of intermodal transport control systems with offices in the UK, Germany, Poland and Switzerland
- Grampian Solutions, a provider of duty allocation systems for bus drivers in the UK with a main office in Aberdeen
- Naviquate, which delivers integrated solutions for public transport data management, bus franchising, real-time information, journey planning and ticketing to local transport authorities and operators in the UK and Ireland. Its main office is in Chippenham
- Nexfeld, a provider of fixed-route planning and scheduling to bus and rail operators. Its main offices are in Denmark, Germany and Norway.
Of those that are active in the UK, Grampian Solutions notes that it has more than 40 years of industry heritage, with the new name reflecting the company’s origin and its forward momentum. It is the UK’s leading provider of duty allocation and driver management technology, supporting 85% of bus operators here.
DAS Anywhere remains at the heart of Grampian Solutions. It connects depot teams, drivers and operations leaders. “Reintroducing the Grampian name is both a nod to our heritage and a signal of our ambition,” says General Manager Antony Chilton-Murphy.
“We have always been the trusted engine room behind the UK’s bus operations. Today, we step forward with a brand that reflects our strength, expertise and commitment to the bus industry.”
Returning to the Grampian identity “underscores a renewed commitment to innovation and deeper specialisation within the UK bus market,” the business continues. “While the name has evolved, the mission remains unchanged: delivering technology built by the industry, for the industry to power safe, legal and efficient bus operations.””
Ebblo offers a suite of solutions that it says demonstrate accelerated investment in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, vehicle-to-everything, and cloud-based architectures.
That enhances capabilities include operations control, passenger information, on-board systems and business intelligence while promoting interoperability through standard interfaces.
Naviquate also has deep roots in public transport software development. Its new name represents what the brand says is “a sharpened clarity of purpose” in helping mobility providers to navigate operational complexity with intelligent, connected and future-ready technology.
The Naviquate portfolio gives local transport authorities and operators a continuous and end-to-end view of networks, whether by supporting a swift response to conditions or providing passengers with accurate and timely information.
