Nine battery-electric VDL SLF-120 Citeas for Arriva Netherlands’ have gone into service in ’s-Hertogenbosch on two routes. They are a follow-up order after the delivery of three electric Citeas to Arriva for ’s-Hertogenbosch in 2016.
The Citeas have a new, undisclosed, battery technology that makes it possible to charge faster so the demanding timetable can be met.
A opportunity charger is at the end of both routes, charging via a pantograph.
The chargers were also supplied by VDL, which works with the electricity supplier.
This is already the seventh electric bus collaborative project between Arriva Netherlands and VDL.
