A fire at Scania’s Worksop sales centre destroyed two secondhand coaches that were for sale.
Fortunately the fire, at 1244hrs on 25 January, was in the yard and the adjacent buildings were not affected.
No-one was hurt and fire-fighters praised Scania’s staff for quickly moving nearby vehicles without putting themselves in danger.
Two other coaches were slightly damaged and seven HGVs were slightly damaged.
Around 15 firefighters attended the incident on Claylands Avenue, Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
The fire is not believed to be suspicious.
Scania confirms that activity at the site has not been affected, adding “it’s business as usual.”
No customers or their vehicles have been affected. A full investigation by the fire service is underway to establish the fire’s cause.
